Regular Grade Micro Abrasive Roll

Sylmasta Regular Grade Micro Abrasive Rolls are used for the polishing and finishing of acrylic, plastic, polycarbonate, GRP, composite, fibreglass, hard polyurethane, gelcoat, lacquers, soft wood and other non-metal materials.

Sylmasta cushioned abrasives are made using a cotton-backed, flexible layer holding in the micromesh sized abrasive grits for an exceptionally high quality finish.

The flexible backing of Sylmasta Micro Abrasives prevents the abrasive grit from digging into the surface if too much pressure is applied. It also means the abrasive cuts across the surface in a planing motion instead of cutting in too aggressively, as regular sandpaper would.

This means the final scratch pattern is even and regular without random, uneven scratches.

Sylmasta Regular Grade Micro Abrasive is available in three different sizes:

  • 12″ x 6″ sheet
  • 7.5m (25″) roll
  • 15m (50″) roll

It comes in the following grades:

  • 1500
  • 1800
  • 2400
  • 3200
  • 3600
  • 4000
  • 6000
  • 8000
  • 12000

For guidance, the 1500 scratch pattern is equivalent to 400 wet/dry but with a higher quality finish.
